As we celebrate International Women’s Day, it is essential to acknowledge the significant contributions that women have made to the oil and gas industry. One such woman is Linda Cook, the first female executive director of Royal Dutch Shell, commonly known as Shell, one of the world’s largest oil and gas operators. Cook’s achievements in the industry are a testament to the fact that women can excel in any field, and her dedication and professionalism inspire many women in the industry.

As a Strategic Marketing intern at AES Drilling Fluids in Houston, TX, I am grateful to work for a company that values diversity and inclusivity. On my first day, I was amazed to see so many women in a male-dominated industry. The women at AES Drilling Fluids have set an exceptional example of professionalism, dedication, and intelligence. I am honored to learn from them as I begin my journey into the corporate world. These women have shown that gender should never be a barrier to success and that women can significantly contribute to the oil and gas industry.

In conclusion, International Women’s Day allows us to recognize women’s valuable contributions in all aspects of life – professional examples such as Linda Cook’s achievements and the women at AES Drilling Fluids who continue to exemplify excellence and professionalism for future generations. As a Strategic Marketing intern, I am excited to be part of a company that values diversity and inclusivity. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from these amazing women. Cheers to women everywhere who continue to defy gender stereotypes and shatter glass ceilings. Together, we can break down barriers and achieve greatness.
